Jingle Jingle

The holidays don’t have to be a sprint. Jingle part of the way, whatever feels good, take your time, definitely do not break a sweat. Enjoy the little moments, the cozy rhythms, and all the joy that comes without pushing so hard.

Here’s a restful holiday checklist (aka ways to “rest” without judgment):

  • Take naps that last suspiciously long
  • Binge something cheesy and call it “cultural enrichment”
  • Wrap gifts… poorly, and call it “abstract art”
  • Wear the ugliest sweater you own and embrace it
  • Eat cookies like they’re a necessary food group
  • Watch a holiday movie for the 17th time (no regrets)
  • Sip eggnog and pretend it’s a self-care elixir
  • Hide from family in a blanket fort
  • Decorate one tiny corner and call it festive
  • Sing carols off-key and blame it on “holiday spirit”
  • Take a “walk” to the fridge repeatedly
  • Build a gingerbread house that collapses immediately and laugh

Here’s to a restful holiday season—you’ve earned it.
