Playing With Mosaics

In thinking about this week’s challenge at Spoonflower, to create a non-directional wallpaper design for ceilings, my first thought went to swallows swooping above and also traditional mosaics used in ancient cultures like Greece and Rome. I put the two ideas together, pulling some motifs from ancient mosaics and ended up with “Swooping Swallows Mosaic”. Fingers crossed it does well in the competition! Voting is open to the public, and runs from June 29 – July 4, 2023.
