Work With Me
Art That Refuses to Blend In.
Surface pattern design is where I landed — but I’ve been a working independent designer for decades. Graphic design, web development, branding: I’ve done it all, professionally, on deadline, for real clients. That experience shows in everything I make. Bold, hand-crafted surface patterns built for products that want to be noticed. Available for licensing, freelance, and creative partnership.
What that means for you: you get a surface pattern designer who also speaks your language.

My surface pattern work is relatively new — three years in, built almost entirely on Spoonflower, with multiple top-ten finishes and a consistent place in the top 11% of thousands of submissions. But the design instincts behind it aren’t new at all.
I’ve spent my career as an independent designer working across graphic design and web development, and I’m also a professionally trained fine artist with award-winning work shown in Chicago and Milwaukee. I know how to take a brief, ask the right questions, manage a project, and deliver work that’s better than what you asked for — on time, without hand-holding. I’m equally happy collaborating closely with a creative director or taking a job and running with it.
What that means for you: you get a surface pattern designer who also speaks your language — and brings a fine artist’s eye to every repeat.
Common Questions
Q: What file formats do you deliver? All work is delivered in high-resolution, print-ready formats — typically layered PSD, vector AI/EPS, and flat TIFF or PNG at 150–300 dpi. I’ll confirm specs with your production team.
Q: Do you offer exclusive licensing? Yes. Exclusive licenses are available for a defined product category, territory, and term. Pricing reflects the scope of exclusivity — let’s talk through what makes sense for your project.
Q: What’s the typical turnaround for custom work? Most custom projects complete within 3–6 weeks depending on complexity and revision rounds. Rush timelines can often be accommodated — just flag it in your inquiry.
Q: Do you work with brands outside the US? Absolutely. I’ve worked with clients internationally and am comfortable managing remote collaboration, different time zones, and international licensing terms.
Q: Can I see more work before reaching out? Of course — the full portfolio lives at rocarr.studio/collections. You’re also welcome to email me and I’ll send a PDF lookbook tailored to your product category.
