Moonglow Mushrooms

Spoonflower and East Fork pottery have paired up again for this week’s challenge. The artists were provided with a strict palette to match with East Fork’s autumn collection, but no other direction. Up to each individual to decide what to create. I had done a whole collection a week ago featuring Monarchs & Milkweed, but then got the urge to draw some mushrooms.

Using the dark colors in the palette in the background and the light colors for the marks gave the drawing the feel of being lit by moonlight. Here is my entry, “Moonglow Mushrooms” and I’ve created a few more coordinating patterns with alternate colorways for each. Fingers crossed it shows well in the competition!

Voting starts on Thursday July 20!
