Copa Cabana Cha Cha Cha

Cabana Republic landed 45th out of 1,378 entries in Spoonflower’s Faded Resort 2026 challenge. Someone fix me a mojito, and three cheers to all who voted for my design!

The road to this one was scenic. I started out with dreams of Moroccan sand, veered over to Hawaii via a threadbare Polynesian print, made an ill-advised Victorian detour with a damask that was genuinely beautiful and completely useless for the brief, and then — somewhere in the wreckage — vintage striped beach cabanas materialized. Gotta say, these stripes make me very happy.

Sun-bleached, wind-blown, the kind of place where the ceiling fans turn slowly and no one is in a hurry. This fabric has been to more resorts than I have, and from the looks of it, has been sipping something cold on the lanai the whole time.

The warm cotton candy palette was my choice for the challenge entry but I have 5 colorways available for this design.
