Scarlet Ibis Damask

The Monochromatic Duvet Covers challenge is on this week at Spoonflower – any color under the sun and any theme – just stick to your chosen color. Since I rarely design with red I thought I’d focus on that this week. I did a few designs with red, none were really coming together until I landed on one of my fave birds, the scarlet ibis. I created this damask inspired by the texture and richness of a persian rug and added some funky flowers and a big urn and a lot of curlicues. I kind of love it! Wish me luck in this week’s voting! If you’d like to vote, please follow this link. Voting ends Tuesday Aug 29 at 2pm central. 😀
